The 18-gauge nailer can handle up to 100 straight collated nails that are 1/2-inch to 1-1/4 inches long at a time, while the 16-gauge nailer can handle up to 160 straight collated nails that are 1-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches long at a time. Each well-balanced nailer also employs a reversible belt hook…
Im a contractor so the four things i loved about this set in order , what a great price with shipping was still $40 cheaper than homx depox , its so light at 30 lbs , the roll cage made me feel like it was solid and wont get hurt in my truck , its quiet (this was # 4 because its quieter than all oil less compressors ) but its not as quiet as i hoped still great but needs explaning. the sound level is like this if its in the same room you are in it will bug you in 5 min. you can still talk to the guy next to you with only a small raise in your voice, but within minutes the sound will bug you. placed in the next room it was great, no sound problems. also the sound it makes is not a annoying sound like the porter cable pancake(2/3 times louder) (porter put out more air and holds more air so if you need a comp for more than nail gunning the porter is a better option )to me the sound level was about that of a loud vaccumme cleaner which is very good for a compressor hope this helps 5 stars because not perfect but for the money you get SO MUCH. only rated for 500 hrs (bummer)

The CPACK3 combines three great Bostitch power fasteners with a compressor. This kit includes a 16-gauge 2-1/2-inch finish nailer, an 18-gauge 1-inch finish stapler, an 18-gauge 1-1/4-inch brad nailer, and a 2 horsepower air compressor that powers them all. And to get you started immediately, the CPACK3 also comes with a stash of nails, brads, staples, fittings, hoses, lubricant, and a contractor's canvas tool bag.
Well, this compressor worked only after I removed the housing and actually installed the moter mount screws! There were two out of four missing, causing me to basically pull the top off the thing when getting it out of the box. Also immediately had to adjust the release valve (not normal) so the thing would stop running. There is ZERO quality control on this thing, but if you spend some time fixing it (right out of the box) it should work alright. The Finish gun also leaks at the trigger... again right out of the box. This setup does do what I need it to, but unless you like to repair brand new tools, I would not recommend .Sorry.

27 of 27 people found the following review helpful 5.0 out of 5 starsThe right tool for the job, October 3, 2004 By Finiki Finishes "Fin" (St.Paul, Minnesota) - See all my reviewsI find the finish nailer to be extremely useful. I frequently detail out properties going on the market. The nailer is perfect for installing baseboards, quarter round and crown mouldings, without the hassle of hauling a compressor and hoses. I find it simple to operate, it is simple to load, simple to set depth. I do not see it as being any heavier than a gun with a snarly hose attached. It sinks more nails on one battery charge than I have had a need for at any job yet. Personally I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I agree with the other reviewers who have given praise to this product. I felt the same way till mine broke after less than a months use.Of course it was the compressor which broke, the part with the 90 day warranty. I did not catch that when I bought this.Senco is a good company, but I think this little compressor is not quite up to the quality of their other products. In my case it was the 1/4" copper tubing which brings the air to the tank that failed. It split where the tubing had been bent.I have fixed it with some liquid steel, since I'm on a job with it, I'm hoping the repair lasts till I have time to replace to tubing.I have used this to build two large bookcase and cabinet projects so far, and in doing so I have learned the compressors limitations. It does not do wellshooting two inch nails into MDF. It does not have the power to fully sink the nail into the material. I bought this combo for the light weightof the compressor, so I guess there must be some compromises. This won't take the place of more powerful compressors, but it is great for carrying to and from a job. I just hope I do not have problems with it in the future. I'm not sure I wouldrecommend this product, the 90 day warranty on the compressor is a big negative. especially since it seems to have some problems.

Combination bostitch compressor & 2" brad nailer kit. Kit includes: 2hp peak, 6 gallon oil-free compressor, bostitch SB-1850BN 2" brad nailer kit, 40' hose with fittings, 1000 18 gauge 2" brads, tool lubricant & tool carry case.
I just bought this Bostitch unit (on sale at Lowes) to replace my Porter Cable unit which just failed after about two years of light home-owner use. (Air started leaking out of the cylinder head.) The Bostitch is the superior compressor. It is slightly more powerful in terms of CFM yet significantly quieter. The drain valve is a real valve that is clearly visible and requires only a quarter turn to open. The Porter Cable valve is more like a screw that requires multiple turns and is located under the unit where it is not visible and you have to feel around for it - a bit of pain. The brad nailer works great - it's nice to be able to drive the longer (2") brads when you need to.

I bought the old Bostitch combo kit several years ago and finally needed to buy a new one. I was pleasantly surprised with the upgrades. The guns are lighter and the compressor is more compact and easier to carry than the old Bostitch compressor. This kit is great for anyone who needs a reliable compressor and a few trim nailers.

I am a novice craftsman and bought this package for some household trim projects. This package takes all the guess work out of what you need to buy to get rolling. I have a larger shop compressor, but find this one's size to be more handy to use. First class. I'm a believer in Porter Cable products.

I bought these for a birthday gift. The person started using the nail guns 6 days ago on their birthday. They are horrible and useless. The person I gave them too can hammer 6 nails faster than shooting in 1 nails with this gun. There are more misfires than nails going in. Several of us have tried to get a nail in using it to see if his complaints were valid. I am so incredibly disappointed and completely embarassed to have given these as a gift.

We're building a new home and during the framing stage I watched the framers use this gun all day long, day after day with no problems. When I asked them how they liked it, they said they would not use any other gun but this one. We're nearing the end of construction and I decided to tackle the rear deck myself (lots of money to be saved in doing so). I decided to take the plunge and buy my first pneumatic nail gun. I'm not a professional builder, but, I can tell you I do love this Hitachi framer. In fact, I'm so excited about it that I've ordered additional nailers and a stapler to put in my dream shop which is going up at the same time as the house. Actually, the shop is finished - something my sweet wife reminds me of each time we visit the building site. I keep telling her "We just have to maintian our priorities!"

This is a nice combo pack for the weekend user or hobbyist. The compressor requires no maintenance... a definite consideration when buying. Everything is easily accessible for adjustments and connections. The unit is compact, fairly light and packs up well for mobility. Compressor is a bit loud but I can live with that for the price. There is no air nozzle included, you'll need to buy that separately.

Each of these handy tools resist jams, and also offer a problem-solving jam release feature to prevent slow-downs from derailing your job. For added convenience, it's a snap to alter both the depth-of-drive and the exhaust port, and the non-marring nose tip and hardened driver blade ensure durability for long term, reliable performance. Additionally, the compressor provides maintenance- and mess-free results (no more oil spills!), has a lightweight, portable design, and can run…
I've had my new nailer system for more than a month now and I have to say that it's one of the best tools that I have ever purchased. You get professional looking results with less effort and skill. The nailer allows you to put things together that would be impossible with a regular hammer and nails due to the repeated pounding with a hammer. So enough gushing praise, let's talk details. The compressor isn't as loud as I expected (after reading other reviews) but it does make noise. There is a built-in handle on the top which makes moving it relatively easy. The system also comes with a 40 foot air hose, so if the noise bothers you, it's possible to put it far enough away (or around the corner) so it won't be too annoying. The staple gun, brad nailer, and finish nailer are very high quality and made of good solid materials. They are easy to load and very easy to use. I have not seen a single jamming event yet.The carrying case is also quite handy for keeping things together and clean.I've done a few trim work projects, whipped out a bird house in under an hour, and put trim on some doors. I'm dying to refront our fireplace and add crown molding to the dining room. This nailer makes all the difference in the world for speed and ease.Bottom Line: Would I buy this system again? Absolutely YES. Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely YES. Is it a good value? Try pricing the pieces out separately and you will say "Yes!"No shipping and no tax when buying from Amazon. What…
